昨天聽到五月天瑪莎唱張雨生的天天想你,我一直不知道他在台灣樂壇有多大影响,便嘗試找他的歌來聽。只聽了數首已很感動,希望多些人能聽他的歌
張雨生（英文名：Tom Chang，1966年6月7日－1997年11月12日），臺灣流行歌手、音樂創作人，以聲音高亢著稱。其音樂創作風格多變，故有「音樂魔術師」之稱。1997年10月20日凌晨2時40分許，張雨生駕駛著黑色Saab900，在臺北縣淡水鎮登輝大道與中正東路的路口前發生嚴重車禍，昏迷24日後，11月12日晚上11時48分於淡水馬偕醫院過世，得年31歲。
張雨生，籍貫浙江嘉興，1966年6月7日生於出生於澎湖眷村（篤行十村），父親是退伍軍人張建民，母親為泰雅族原住民張惠美(張福泉)。排行最長、下有二弟二妹。9歲時舉家遷居臺中縣豐原市，進入豐原瑞穗國小完成小學教育，國中時就讀豐南國中，高中就讀豐原高中。聯考時，起初只考上私立大學（據說原本考上世界新專印刷科），但基於家庭經濟因素，張雨生提出了補習重考的想法。雖然大筆的補習費使張父有沉重壓力，但他還是極力鼓勵。父親的支持使張雨生燃起了動力。隔年，原本第一志願為國立臺灣大學歷史學系的張雨生與臺灣大學無緣，考取了國立政治大學外交學系。
成名曲為《我的未來不是夢》。1997年11月12日因車禍逝世於臺北縣淡水鎮，得年31歲。目前父母親居住臺中梨山種植當地高山水果。
[編輯] 出道過程張雨生1986年大一時初試啼聲，因為他妹妹的去世，參加「木船民歌比賽」自彈自唱進到決賽並獲得優勝，使張雨生對歌唱開始產生信心與興趣，大二開學後旋即進了結他社。1987年大二時與結他社同學自組了「Thunder Spot（雷擊點）」樂團，開始校際與校外的演唱生涯；同年6月6日，張雨生與其樂團代表政大到台大表演，張雨生的天賦佳嗓被台大的「Metal Kids（金屬小子）」樂團注意。後來「Metal Kids」樂團應東海大學之邀前往演唱，但主唱因為感冒無法表演，就找張雨生幫忙，也開啟了日後合作之門。1987年大三上時，張雨生以一首描述退役軍人生活的歌曲「他們」，得到學校創作歌謠比賽第一名。1988年3月29日，他與所屬的「Metal Kids（金屬小子）」樂團榮獲77年第一屆熱門音樂大賽優勝及最佳主唱，也因此獲得唱片製作人翁孝良的發掘，加盟翁孝良的「銘聲傳播公司」。同年4月，張雨生以一首黑松沙士的廣告曲《我的未來不是夢》引起歌壇注意。5月，張雨生參加音樂合輯《六個朋友》的製作、並演唱成名曲《我的未來不是夢》及《以為你都知道》。曾任張雨生經紀人的孫德榮講過，《我的未來不是夢》當時讓許多位年輕人對於未來充滿願景與期待。並於把愛找回來合輯中，演唱把愛找回來。
熱門音樂大賽在8月時推出《烈火青春》合輯。張雨生以《最佳主唱獎》得獎人的身份特別演出《烈火青春》及《Heaven on fire》兩首歌曲。
同年10月張雨生入圍金龍獎最有前途歌藝新人獎、並在11月時發行第一張個人專輯《天天想你》出版，並首度出現張雨生的創作就為你。創下35萬張的銷售記錄，成為年度唱片風雲人物。
張雨生參與電影《七匹狼》的原聲帶專輯演唱、收錄《永遠不回頭》、《如果你冷》、《我喜歡瘋狂》和《看見》四首歌曲。《七匹狼》創下3000萬的票房佳績、同時張雨生獲得1988年度十大歌唱新人榜首。
