Philippine "Pina" Bausch (27 July 1940 – 30 June 2009) was a German modern dance choreographer and a leading influence in the development of the Tanztheater style of dance
Early life Bausch was born in Solingen, near Düsseldorf, the third and youngest child of August and Anita Bausch, who owned a café attached to a small hotel.
Career Bausch began dancing from a young age. In 1955 she entered the Folkwangschule in Essen, then directed by Germany's most influential choreographer Kurt Jooss, one of the founders of German Expressionist dance.
After graduation, she won a scholarship to continue her studies at the Juilliard School in New York City in 1960, where her teachers included Anthony Tudor, José Limón, and Paul Taylor. In New York she performed with the Paul Sanasardo and Donya Feuer Dance Company, the New American Ballet and became a member of the Metropolitan Opera Ballet Company.
In 1962, Bausch joined Jooss' new Folkwang Ballett Company as a soloist and assisted Jooss on many of the pieces, before choreographing her first piece in 1968, and in 1969 succeeded Jooss as artistic director. In 1972, Bausch started as artistic director of the then Wuppertal Opera Ballet, which was later renamed as the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. The company has a large repertoire of original pieces, and regularly tours throughout the world.
Male-female interaction is a theme found throughout her work, which has been an inspiration for—and reached a wider audience through—the movie Talk to Her, directed by Pedro Almodóvar. Her pieces are constructed of short units of dialogue and action, often of a surreal nature. Repetition is an important structuring device. Her large multi-media productions often involve elaborate sets and eclectic music. In Masurca Fogo half of the stage is taken up by a giant, rocky hill, and the score includes everything from Portuguese music to K. D. Lang. [2]
In 1983, she played the role of La Principessa Lherimia in Federico Fellini's film And the Ship Sails On. [3]
Artist: Beach House lyrics Title: Better Times Correct these lyrics
I want you To know the truth Cause I been around before Felt I was looking anymore
Been a fool for weeks Cause my heart stands for nothing And your soul's too weak Got away It's been around for days Goes far if you want it It needs to be kept But then you You come around Big mistake
I don't want to know I don't want to know We don't need the side To know Better times
Running around cause you beat yourself up And you made a crack And the one that you love is gone How much longer can you play with fire Before you turn into a liar
I been around before Thought you were looking anymore But then we We come and go Go up in smoke I want you To know the truth Cause I been around before Felt I was looking anymore
I been around before Thought you were looking anymore But then we We come and go Go up in smoke

Live Like You're Dying lyrics Songwriters: Kripac, Lenka Eden; One of these days you'll be under the covers You'll be under the table and you'll realize That all of your days are numbered, all of them one to one hundred All of them millions, all of them trillions
So what are you gonna do with them all? You can not trade them in for more, no, no
Take every moment, you know that you own them It's all you can do, use what's been given to you
Gimme a reason to fight the feeling That there's nothing here for me 'Cause none of it's easy, I know it wasn't meant to be I know it's all up to me, it's all up to me
So what am I gonna do with my time?
I'll take every moment, I know that I own them It's all up to you to do whatever you choose Live like you're dying and never stop trying It's all you can do, use what's been given to you
All of the moments you didn't notice gone in the blink of an eye And all of the feelings you can't help feeling no matter how you try
Take every moment, you know that you own them It's all up to you to do whatever you choose Live like you're dying and never stop trying It's all you can do, use what's been given to you
Live like you're dying and never stop trying It's all up to you, use what's been given to you
The silicon chip inside her head Gets switched to overload. And nobody's gonna go to school today, She's going to make them stay at home. And daddy doesn't understand it, He always said she was as good as gold. And he can see no reason 'Cause there are no reasons What reason do you need to be shown?
Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. I want to shoot The whole day down.
The telex machine is kept so clean As it types to a waiting world. And mother feels so shocked, Father's world is rocked, And their thoughts turn to Their own little girl. Sweet 16 ain't so peachy keen, No, it ain't so neat to admit defeat. They can see no reasons 'Cause there are no reasons What reason do you need to be shown?
I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. I want to shoot The whole day down.
All the playing's stopped in the playground now She wants to play with her toys a while. And school's out early and soon we'll be learning And the lesson today is how to die. And then the bullhorn crackles, And the captain crackles, With the problems and the how's and why's. And he can see no reasons 'Cause there are no reasons What reason do you need to die?
Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. I want to shoot The whole day down.
Banksy is the pseudonym[2][3] of a British graffiti artist, political activist and painter, whose identity is unconfirmed.[4] His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine irreverent dark humour with graffiti done in a distinctive stencilling technique. Such artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world.[5]
Banksy's work was born out of the Bristol underground scene which involved collaborations between artists and musicians. According to author and graphic designer Tristan Manco, Banksy "was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol, England.[6] The son of a photocopier technician, he trained as a butcher but became involved in graffiti during the great Bristol aerosol boom of the late 1980s."[7] Observers have noted that his style is similar to Blek le Rat, who began to work with stencils in 1981 in Paris and members of the anarcho-punk band Crass who maintained a graffiti stencil campaign on the London Tube System in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Banksy does not sell photos of street graffiti directly himself;[8][9] however, art auctioneers have been known to attempt to sell his street art on location and leave the problem of its removal in the hands of the winning bidder.[10] Banksy's first film, Exit Through the Gift Shop, billed as "the world's first street art disaster movie", made its debut at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.[11] The film was released in the UK on 5 March.[12]
Early career (1992–2001)
Naked Man image by Banksy, on the wall of a sexual health clinic[13] in Park Street, Bristol. Following popular support, the City Council have decided it will be allowed to remain – (wider view).Banksy started as a freehand graffiti artist 1992–1994[14] as one of Bristol's DryBreadZ Crew (DBZ), with Kato and Tes.[15] He was inspired by local artists and his work was part of the larger Bristol underground scene. From the start he used stencils as elements of his freehand pieces, too.[14] By 2000 he had turned to the art of stencilling after realising how much less time it took to complete a piece. He claims he changed to stencilling whilst he was hiding from the police under a dumper truck, when he noticed the stencilled serial number[16] and by employing this technique, he soon became more widely noticed for his art around Bristol and London.[16]
Stencil on the waterline of The Thekla, an entertainment boat in central Bristol – (wider view). The image of Death is based on a 19th century etching illustrating the pestilence of The Great Stink.[17]Banksy's stencils feature striking and humorous images occasionally combined with slogans. The message is usually anti-war, anti-capitalist or anti-establishment. Subjects often include rats, monkeys, policemen, soldiers, children, and the elderly.
Here is the newest Banksy+ Simpson comic.I love Banksy's graffiti. He is different. The newest Simpon story is not a funny story. It talks about sweatshop around the world.
The award of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize to Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo follows an occasional precedent of recognizing human rights campaigners who are either imprisoned or subjected to state restrictions or harassment.
In announcing the prestigious award, Norwegian Nobel Committee President Thorbjoern Jagland cited Liu for his "his long and non-violent struggle for fundamental human rights in China." Liu is currently serving an 11-year jail sentence in China for inciting subversion of state power.
Reacting to the award, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Mao Zhaoxu said Liu was a "convicted criminal" whose actions had been "in complete contradiction to the purpose of the Nobel Peace Prize."

(ENGLISH LYRIC) No, nothing at allI regret nothing Neither the good that was done to me Nor the bad, all that doesn’t matter to me No, nothing at all, I regret nothing It’s been paid, swept away, forgotten I don’t care about the past Onto my memories, I set fire My griefs, my pleasures, I don’t need them anymore Swept away my loves, and their quavers Swept them forever, I restart from zero No, nothing at all I have no regrets Neither the good that was done to me Nor the bad, all that doesn’t matter to me No, nothing at all No, I don’t regret anything Because my life, because my joys Today, it starts with you!

Romatics know that a liitle bit of chocolate can warm the heart, and researchers are learning that the benefits of the sweet may not stop there.Studies have linked chocolate consumption with lower blood pressure, lower levels of bad cholesterol and reduced risk of stroke and heart attack.Anew trial documents how much cocoa is enough to keep the heart healthy--and how much is too much. A survey of 31000 postmenopausal women in Sweden found that those who ate chocolate once or twice a week lowered their risk of heart failure by 32%.But more isn't better, say the authors, since women in the study who indulged in chocolate every day experienced the same heart-failure rate as those who ate a cocoa placebo. The key to exploiting chocolate's benefits is to balance the health effects of flavonoids with the fats that make it such a calorie-dense food. Flavonoids, which are more prevalent in dark chocolate, can keep blood vessels flexible and reduce the clumping of platelets that block heart arteries, but the high fat content of chocolate can counteract those effects.A few treats a week,it seems, might be just right.
你眼前看著的是紀念二戰大屠殺中被害猶太人的紀念碑 memorial to the murdered jews of europe。 ---By Cheuk Wan Chi
Kanzi A 29-year-old male bonobo, Kanzi has acquired an extraordinary vocabulary of close to 400 words. He communicates by pointing to a series of colorful symbols that have been arranged for him on three cards resembling place mats by the primatologists at the Great Ape Trust in Des Moines, Iowa, where he resides.
Portrait of a Bonobo Kanzi's ability with language can be breathtaking. He can build thoughts and sentences, even conjugate, all by pointing. The symbol sheets he uses include not just easy nouns and verbs like ball and run but also concept words like from and later and grammatical elements like the -ing and -ed endings that signify verb tense.
Hanuman and Apsarah Orangutans are also noted for their ability to imitate human behavior. At TIGERS, orangutans have been known to sit with people taking a tour of the institute, have tea with them and eat snacks. Apsarah is joined in this photo by Hanuman, a 3½-year-old male.
Me in the Mirror Kanzi checks out his reflection. Along with apes, elephants and dolphins can also pass the "mirror test": all three species respond appropriately when they look in a mirror after a spot of paint has been applied to their forehead or another part of their body. Apes and elephants will reach up to touch the mark on themselves with their finger or trunk rather than reach out to touch the reflection. Dolphins will position themselves so they can see the reflection of the mark better.
